Yesterday I finished up the gas line and pump. Her is a shot from the top down:
Here you can see the fuel filter at the top of the picture which feeds into the pump and down to the hard line:
There was also an air show at DM today, so we had to stop work and see what was flying overhead every now and then.
Dad painted most of the aluminum panels today and started sorting out the Dynamat to cover the inside cockpit. I finished up the rear electrical and got the gas tank in place after much bending and tweaking of the passenger side strap:
Then moved on to the passenger side floor aluminum. Before drilling and riveting, I laid down the silicone adhesive with a little "Easter Egg" as my initials...kind of like leaving your name in wet cement (lol):
In place, drilled and ready for rivets:
Riveted and cleaned up a bit. The top part of the tunnel stays in place with Clecos for now:
And from the front:
Tomorrow we finish off what we can for the cockpit aluminium, but otherwise another good day!

Day 7
We are about 75% done with the electrical. Dad has been handling all that for the past few days. Here is a shot of the main cutoff switch to the battery, mounted right between the seats:
Ready for a battery! Ground strap and positive leads all installed. Next major step is the dash, which Dad has been working on.
Today I ran the hard brake lines from the two master cylinders out to the four wheels. It wasn't as sketchy as I thought. This is the junction right behind the driver's seat:
And the lines to the front, which follow the top chassis tube:
A top down view of the front lines. Still waiting on the lower steering shaft though:
And over to the rear passenger side. The battery box (on the lower right) is ready to be mounted once we get the rear-end in:
Dad worked on the fuel lines and we called it a day. I'll finish up the fuel pump install tomorrow.
